SOUTHERN CROSS DESIGN and DRAFTING began from humble beginnings in Maroochydore on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Owner and licensee Ted Larson has been around construction all his life. Starting off in the family business Larson Brothers Contractors in Mackay.
After settling on the Sunshine Coast in 1988 and raising two boys Southern Cross Design was established in 2001 and soon found a niche in mid-range Custom Home Design, and Small to Medium commercial projects.
With our team on hand our point of difference is flexibility of service and delivery. Every project is different and can range from a simple carport extension right through to high rise commercial and residential. Our Architects are responsible for the initial design concepts then our CAD Technicians take over to prepare quality Architectural Plans ready for Council Approval.
In 2016 the needs of Southern Cross Design & Drafting’s customers meant that Ted relocated to Aitkenvale, a suburb of Townsville.
While based in Townsville the electronic age of today allows us to take on projects far and wide and we currently have projects underway in Mount Isa, Newman Western Australia, Darwin and also Townsville.
